You Won’t Believe How Much Breakfast Cost In The ’50s (Photo)
A man and his family bought a pub, where he excavated this hilarious menu from ancient times (aka the 50s). Turns out, the pub was Newell’s Bakery & Restaurant back in the old days, and the prices will leave you wide-eyed.
From the mysterious 7 cent “Pop” (which isn’t the same thing as soda?) to the 55 cent “Wieners & Beans,” Newell’s dishes and the corresponding prices really serve as a blast from the past. Last but not least, be sure to spot the phone number right underneath the bakery/restaurant’s name. It’s got to make you wonder how many people had telephones in Newell’s home town back then.
