Few entrepreneurs have to run a business while handling the daily pressures of fifth grade, but for Cory Nieves, founder and CEO of Mr. Cory’s Cookies, it’s all in a day’s work.

Nieves, who has worked as an actor since he was 3 years old, began his booming business five years ago, according to CBS News; after moving to Englewood, N.J., from the Bronx, he asked his mother if she would buy a car because it was cold and he was tired of taking the bus.

I said, ‘Cory, how am I gettin’ a car, off of my looks?’ I told him that and then, he said, ‘Well, we can sell hot cocoa,’” Nieves’ mother Lisa Howard told CBS.

After hot cocoa came lemonade and cookies, and the business expanded as the all-natural cookies became a hit. According to the company’s freakishly professional website, Nieves knew nothing about baking, but after several months of testing, he and his mother ended up with the perfect recipes, including chocolate chip, peanut butter, sugar-free oatmeal raisin and sugar cookies. They even have a plan to sell their cookie dough online.

Although they began in their own kitchen, the operation is so big that they now rent a commercial space. Nieves’s mother is legally required to do all the baking, but according to CBS, Mr. Cory still keeps a tight rein on business, regularly looking over “financials and stuff… The profit and loss statements, you know.”

Baked goods aren’t Mr. Cory’s only ambition, however; the small businessman also loves fashion, and has an Instagram account in which he shows off his suave to style to almost 35,000 followers.

For now, though, Nieves is still focusing on cookies. In fact, Mr. Cory’s Cookies sells about 1,000 treats a weekend. At around $1 each, that’s not a bad income for a 10-year-old… and yes, he did end up getting his mom that car.
