Old George decided to step up and get in on all the icy fun recently while taking what could be interpreted as a tongue-in-cheek jab at the current commander in chief.

President Obama recently declined multiple ice bucket challenges from heavy hitters such as Ethel Kennedy, LeBron James and Justin Bieber, stating that his contribution will be monetary instead.

George W., however, made the tough decision and went ahead with the challenge.

He was even a bit coy at the beginning of the video, saying, “To you all who have challenged me, I do not think it’s presidential… uh… for me to be splashed with ice water. So I’m simply going to write you a check.”

His color-coded threat meter must have been broken, though, since former first lady Barbara was able to sneak up right behind him and douse him with a bucket full of the cold stuff. Barbara even gets in on the viral fun, stating, “That check is from me. I don’t want to ruin my hairstyle.”
